Job Description:
A well-established and highly recommended school in Berkshire is seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality food technology lessons to students, fostering a love for cooking and nutrition, and encouraging creativity and practical skills in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging food technology lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic learning environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Encourage students to develop their culinary skills and knowledge of nutrition.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events related to food technology.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field.
- Experience teaching food technology at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
