Currently seeking an experienced, dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Adult Social Care Service.
You will be working in the West Locality team - serving Newbury, Hungerford and surrounding villages.
The role
- Undertaking assessments of individuals' care and support needs
- Developing and implementing care plans, ensuring the provision of appropriate services
- Conducting reviews and reassessments to ensure ongoing support meets the changing needs of service users
- Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to coordinate holistic care
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications, skills and attributes
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration
- Experience in adult social care, preferably within a local authority setting
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Strong assessment and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and their families
- Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload
