Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Best Interest Assessor to join their team based in Berkshire   JOB DETAILSPAY RATE: £36,124 to £45,708 per annumWORK TYPE: PermanentWORK PATTERN: Full TimeLOCATION: Berkshire    JOB SUMMARYThe Best Interest assessor assessments will relate to clients with a range of impairments including dementia, learning disability, mental health needs.   JOB DESCRIPTIONThe duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
  •  Assessments for both standard and urgent authorisations and will include best interest assessments and mental capacity assessments
  • To undertake DoLS assessments as tasked by the DoLS coordinator
  • To ensure that all records and reports are completed thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner
  • To promote equality as an integral part of the role and to treat everyone with fairness and dignity
  THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATEThe successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
  • Qualified and registered in one of the relevant professions – social work, occupational therapy, nurse practitioner etc
  • Accredited BIA qualification with relevant refresher training
  • Significant experience of carrying out DoLS assessments
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation including Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, Human Rights Act
