Role Details:

Key Responsibilities: JD

Remote/Site/Hybrid If not all Remote or Onsite then provide breakdown and frequency of attendance/travel : Hybrid but with occasional customer site visits required and also Newbury HQ to liaise with wider Test team.

Location/s to be visited if applicable : Farnborough, Bath, Oxford, Warwick, Birmingham.

Deliverables required for SoW and to measure fulfilment of role.

Describe the measurable activities and the stages which they are required to be provided

Test Analyst skills

  • Create test scripts from Test Plans / Low Level Designs for Network infrastructure (Routers / switches / firewalls)
  • Understand Test phases purposes: Unit, System Integration, Functional, Non-Functional, Disaster recovery, Operation Acceptance)
  • Import test cases to ALM and link to requirements
  • Collect Test execution evidence, Reporting execution / defect in ALM

Practical skills

  • Cisco Switch / Router console commands
  • Handling Fibre optic cables
  • Understanding of Data Centre operating procedures
  • Set up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing
  • Network and Service Management tool set (e.g. StableNet)

Knowledge

  • Interpret Network infrastructure design from HLD/LLD
  • ALM Test case management, Defect Management, Reporting

Overview

Test Analyst Role has to be based in the UK, and can start to gain SC clearance or has SC clearance already. The role is to support a Programme in the transition & transformation of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) network connectivity. Any experience of working on National Grid would be advantageous but not essential.

Duration: Expected full-time but due to the fluidity there may be some small breaks (unlikely but just as a safety net) so need flexibility to pause the resource effort but will be given notice as much as in advance
