Are you an experienced Cost Engineer with a track record of delivering exceptional results on complex projects? We’re working with a leading global consultancy in the real estate sector to recruit a talented professional to join their expanding team in Newcastle.

The Role

In this position, you will take ownership of cost engineering activities across high-value, high-profile projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing cost and schedule baselines and ensuring performance is tracked and reported accurately.
  • Identifying trends, root causes, and corrective actions to maximise value for clients.
  • Leading evaluations of project time, cost, and quality, applying governance controls to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, overcoming delivery and commercial challenges.
  • Driving effective change management processes and robust cost control.
  • Facilitating planning workshops and coordinating with contractors and vendors to keep projects on track.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in project controls across the full project lifecycle.
  • Sector expertise in life sciences or data centres (preferred).
  • Strong technical capability with Primavera P6 and MS Office.
  • The ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong time management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive, client-focused mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
