The Role

I’m currently working with a design-led architectural practice company is seeking an experienced Architect to join its team in Newcastle or Darlington. This is an exceptional opportunity for ambitious, skilled individuals with strong leadership, design, technical, and communication abilities. You will gain experience across their award-winning studios, working on a variety of projects in different sectors and scales with a particular focus on the education sector.

You should be confident in client interactions, capable of winning work, a proactive team leader with a collaborative approach, and have a proven record of delivering high-quality designs. With a deep understanding of technical design standards and regulations, you will be proficient in Revit and excel in visual and verbal communication. You should be able to demonstrate an active network of clients or potential clients

What is expected:

  • Focus on the concept and technical aspects of design and develop project briefs, ensuring buildings are both attractive and functional.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant UK planning, building, and health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with project management and design teams.
  • Professional qualification.
  • Structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent drawing, presentation, and report writing skills.
  • Keen interest in the built environment and dedication to project completion.
  • Proven experience in a range of large-scale projects, Education projects desirable.
  • Ability to manage budgets and control expenditure.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Demonstrated evidence of people management skills and building strong relationships.
  • Good personal organization, planning skills, and understanding of quality management procedures and health & safety requirements.
