We’re looking for a Head of Service – Asset Management to join a forward-thinking Housing & Communities Directorate in the North East, where you’ll shape the future of social housing and make a real difference for residents and communities.�? About the Role: In this pivotal role, you’ll take the lead on delivering high-quality asset and compliance services across a substantial council-owned housing stock. Your focus will be on ensuring value for money, capital investment planning, and compliance excellence while keeping resident wellbeing at the heart of all decision-making.You’ll oversee strategic initiatives including:
  • The Social Housing Asset Management Programme
  • Long-term capital investment planning
  • Budget responsibility for multi-million-pound housing assets
  • Ensuring timely, safe, and sustainable outcomes for tenants
?? Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, and inspire a high-performing asset management team
  • Deliver compliance and asset strategies that meet housing regulations and local priorities
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to shape investment decisions
  • Ensure homes are safe, high-quality, and aligned with long-term regeneration goals
  • Embed best practice in operational delivery and resident engagement
