The Vaulkhard Group, a well-established and dynamic hospitality group with venues across Newcastle and the North East, is looking for a Roaming Cover Chef to support our kitchen teams.
About the Role:
As a Roaming Cover Chef, you'll bring your culinary expertise to our kitchens when and where it's needed most helping us maintain consistency and quality across all our venues, covering holidays, and supporting busy periods.
Youll work in a variety of kitchens from stylish resturants to vibrant pubs -perfect for chefs seeking variety and the opportunity to showcase their skills across multiple venues within a reputable hospitality group.
This is a salaried position contracted at 45 hours per week, with an immediate start date possible for the right candidate.
What Were Looking For:
- Proven experience at Senior Sous level (minimum)
- Passion for fresh food and high standards - capable of preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes to high standards, including la carte, banqueting, and buffet service.
- Ability to quickly adapt to different kitchen teams, environments and menu styles.
- Able to monitor stock levels, reduce waste, and assist with ordering when required.
- Strong understanding of HACCP procedures, health and safety and food hygiene and allergen management.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle essential.
