The Opportunity12 month Fixed Term ContractA leading and well established organisation are looking for an IT Operations Engineer for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract initially to work on projects. You will be providing 3rd line support.Location: Newcastle City Centre - 3-4 days per week Salary: up to £40,000 + benefits Start date: ASAP The Role
  • Providing 3rd line support to support key operations across the organisation
  • Undertake routine IT operational tasks
  • Support IT project activities and provide technical capability to deliver key projects such as IT enablement of mergers and acquisitions
Key Responsibilities
  • Good networking knowledge (LAN/WAN) and troubleshooting skills
  • Provision of quality 2.5 and 3rd line and escalated BAU support for Windows Servers both physical and virtual 
  • Support and administration of Windows Servers and the VMware vSphere infrastructure 
  • Provide technical project skills and own IT projects for the enablement of new business units
  • Support of Data Centre services
  • 3rd line support incident and problem management 
  • Assist with 3rd line support and config of Office 365
  • 3rd line support of Azure Cloud technologies and services. 
Experience required:
  • Networking Troubleshooting skills
  • Windows server and VMware skills
  • Strong knowledge of M365 O365 administration
  • Worked in an ITIL environment
  • Azure O365 Fundamentals
