Health and Safety Manager – M&E Construction.

BMSL is seeking an experienced and proactive professional to lead H&S across multiple construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety Systems:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain H&S systems compliant with legislation and best practice.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Conduct regular site audits and inspections.
  • Risk Assessment & Control:
    • Identify and assess health and safety risks.
    • Implement and monitor effective control measures.
  • Training & Safety Culture:
    • Design and deliver H&S training for staff and subcontractors.
    • Foster a strong company-wide safety culture.
  • Incident Management:
    • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.
    • Prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain accurate H&S incident records.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure adherence to all relevant H&S legislation.
    • Provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Communicate and collaborate on H&S matters with clients, subcontractors, and other parties.

Key Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Significant experience in construction H&S management, ideally with a national contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of H&S legislation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Experience developing H&S management systems.
