Berry Recruitment is out looking for an experienced Administrator/ Colections Agent

Contract until 31st of December 2025.

Hybrid ( 2 days in the office) - Monday to Friday

Pay £14.01 an hour - weekly pay

MUST BE SC Cleared

Key Responsibilities

  • Talk with customers who are having difficulties repaying their debt. Listen to them and understand their personal circumstances by completing income & expenditure assessments.
  • Maintain a professional approach, while showing compassion and empathy for their situation
  • Negotiate and appropriately challenge customers, ensuring that the debt is paid over a reasonable timescale
  • Identify and work with vulnerable customers and customers with protected characteristics to achieve a positive outcome
  • Deliver appropriate solutions for customers based on their circumstances, such as payment plans

Experience

  • Experience of working in a contact or call centre environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with people at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Ability to build effective and positive relationships whilst delivering a high standard of customer service
  • Experience of dealing with vulnerable and potentially vulnerable customers, treating them empathetically and taking appropriate measures to support them
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to challenge customers where appropriate
  • Seek to solve problems and suggest solutions before having to escalate them
  • Attention to detail is essential as all customer interaction must be recorded for audit purposes
  • Experience of working in a debt management and/or credit control position, including collection activity and telephony
