Tax Assistant Manager / North (Multiple offices) - Hybrid / £50,000 DOE with Benefits

An opportunity to be part of an independent practice, with a team that encourages you to grow and shape your own role. They're looking for an Assistant Manager to join a team that will be involved in the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of some of the most wealthy and exciting entrepreneurial businesses across the region.

The Role

As a Personal Tax Senior, you'll work closely with the team to support clients on personal tax matters, while also preparing and submitting tax returns, and identifying tax planning opportunities.

  • Review and prepare income tax and partnership tax returns and P11Ds
  • Review work of and aid development of Associates, Senior Associates and Seniors
  • Research more complex tax planning issues and assisting Tax Director or Partner with drafting tax advisory reports
  • Deal with more complex cases around remuneration planning and capital gains tax, liaising with the client as appropriate with support from tax partners and directors
  • Act as a point of contact for clients for ad hoc queries
  • Attend client and external events where appropriate
  • Attend clients' sites or homes where required
  • Actively participate in department meetings
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to members of the team as required
  • Make suggestions for updating and improving the department and the firm's systems and processes

Skills:

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA/ ATT Qualified
  • Practice background
  • Have excellent communication skills and be confident speaking to clients
  • Leading and Supervising - provides clear direction and sets appropriate standards of behaviour, motivates, and empowers others and delegates work appropriately and fairly
