Overview

Are you passionate about sustainability and energy efficiency? Do you want to play a key role in shaping the future of environmentally responsible construction? We're looking for a Level 1 Air Tightness Tester to join the UK's largest building compliance team. In this role, you'll work on domestic dwelling projects across Newcastle and nearby regions, ensuring compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations 2021.

Responsibilities

As a Level 1 Air Tightness Tester, you will:

  • Conduct air tightness tests on domestic dwellings in line with regulatory standards across Newcastle.
  • Perform site inspections to identify and address potential air leakage issues in the Newcastle region.
  • Review architectural drawings and provide design recommendations to improve air tightness in projects around Newcastle and Surrounding Areas.
  • Offer consultancy services to reduce construction risks and enhance energy efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed test reports, including recommendations for remedial actions, supporting projects in Newcastle.
  • Collaborate with clients and project teams to meet air tightness targets effectively across Newcastle and nearby areas.


Qualifications

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A Level 1 Air Tightness Tester certification (or equivalent).
  • A solid understanding of Part L of the Building Regulations 2021.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • A valid UK driving licence, as travel across Newcastle and surrounding areas is required.


Day-to-Day

Your typical day will include:

  • Traveling to various sites across Newcastle and nearby regions to conduct air tightness tests.
