Our client is a highly reputable firm who are recruiting for their successful and growing team based in Newcastle. The firm are looking for a Grade B (or equivalent) Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their highly experienced team.

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload of clinical negligence matters with a first class client focused and proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Running your own caseload of clinical negligence files independently
  • Providing support and outstanding advice to your client base and coordinating the progression of client cases
  • Drafting of legal documentation including LOC, letters of instruction
  • Negotiating settlements and the issuing and service of proceedings should it be required.
  • Identifying and driving cases which are ready for LOC, settlement, and service within the team.

About You

  • At least 2 years + PQE in clinical negligence including running your own caseload of files with minimal supervision
  • Grade B or equivalent clinical negligence solicitor
  • Excellent client communication and drafting skills
  • Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment
  • Ability to support and mentor junior team members
