The Role

Vision for Education are working with a warm, inclusive specialist school in Newcastle to recruit a compassionate and dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant. This full-time supply role will begin as soon as you are registered and will involve supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

You will work closely with teachers and support teams to deliver exceptional care, learning support and personalised interventions for children with complex needs. A moving and handling qualification is highly desirable.

The successful PMLD Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with primary or secondary-aged pupils.

• Experience supporting SEND learners, ideally those with PMLD.

• Strong communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach.

• A genuine passion for helping every child reach their full potential.

• The ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team.
