Are you a proactive HR professional with a passion for people and a knack for getting things done? We’re looking for a HR Officer to join this friendly and dynamic HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting all aspects of the HR function within a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering environment. People are genuinely at the heart of this hugely successful business.

Ideally CIPD qualified and with solid generalist experience, you’ll bring energy, initiative, and a collaborative spirit to help deliver a people-first approach across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Preparing, analysing, and reporting on HR data to support decision-making
  • Managing absence records and reporting through the HRIS
  • Supporting the full recruitment cycle – from advertising to onboarding
  • Leading engaging company inductions for new starters
  • Handling disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Coaching managers on HR related issues
  • Contributing to employee engagement initiatives
  • Designing and delivering training sessions related to HR policies and procedures, often 121 coaching with line managers
  • Sourcing and implementing relevant training programmes
  • Assisting in the development and rollout of HR policies and procedures
  • Supporting HR projects and change initiatives
  • Drafting job offers, contracts, job descriptions, and SOPs
  • Working with the HR Manager to implement the people strategy and drive workforce engagement
  • Liaising with apprenticeship providers to ensure high-quality placements

What We’re Looking For:

  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification ideally, or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills – confident, clear, and approachable
  • A friendly, empathetic, and professional manner
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
  • A proactive, can-do attitude – happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
  • Resilience and the ability to work well
  • A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team environment
