Our clientWe are delighted to be working with a leading global engineering business to recruit a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join their Generators Engineering team, based at their North East site.  The business is in a period of significant growth and they have recently appointed a number of new Engineers to this team to support this. The opportunityReporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will:
  • Provide technical support for generators and associated products
  • Support new product developments.
  • Write technical reports, work scopes and test procedures.
  • Support internal customers and collaborate with colleagues globally.
  • Carry out outage preparation including customer presentations.
  • Occasionally travel to UK customer sites to support outages and fault finding.
About youAs a proactive and enthusiastic Engineer with a high level of practical Engineering knowledge you will be keen to learn the client's generator product range.You will be educated to degree in level in Engineering or related subject. HND/ HNC plus significant industry experience will considered equivalent.Power Generation experience, with an emphasis on large turbo-generators (100MW+) and  associated auxiliary systems is essential.Familiarity with ERP / drawing retrieval systems will be required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and successful team in a market leading Engineering business
