Job Description Summary

As a Recovery Claims Handler, you will provide customers with an exceptional claims experience by ensuring their claims are assessed promptly and managed efficiently throughout their journey. You will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of active non-fault claims, ensuring that hire durations are justified, customer expectations are managed, and recoveries are completed successfully. The role involves liaising with repairers, underwriting insurers, and third-party insurers to recover all claim-related costs.



Key Responsibilities

  1. Keep customers informed on the progress of their vehicle damage claim and hire car.

  2. Manage and justify hire durations while maintaining accurate and detailed records.

  3. Communicate effectively with repairers and insurers regarding vehicle repairs and hire car arrangements.

  4. Maintain accurate documentation to support the recovery of all associated claim costs.

  5. Validate relevant insurance cover and identify potential fraudulent claims for investigation.

  6. Ensure customers receive exceptional service in line with professional and industry standards.

  7. Contribute to cost, service, and process improvement initiatives within the team and participate in departmental projects.

  8. Experience in insurance, claims, or car hire would be a strong advantage.
