Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking an experienced SEMH pastoral mentor (teaching assistant) for a secondary school-based job to start either immediately or from May 2025. We are supporting a secondary school based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northeast (NE3 5HP) with a full time, job vacancy for a secondary school teaching assistant (SEMH).   If you are an experienced pastoral mentor (teaching assistant) who has worked with pupils with SEMH who is available from April 2025 and would like to discuss a new secondary school, based job opportunity in the Northeast, we would be keen to speak with you. With over 14 years’ worth of experience supporting education settings and candidates across primary, secondary and SEND divisions.   This secondary school-based job is offered on a full-time basis however a more flexible working pattern can be discussed depending on your personal working requirements. We have a number of posts available as the SEMH provision is expanding across the trust. Ideally, you will be an experienced secondary mentor who has supported pupils with SEMH needs within either KS2 at primary level or KS3/KS4 at secondary level. The role will be long term, temporary to begin with however you may have the opportunity to apply on a permanent basis later in the academic year.   We gain official salary information from each setting to ensure you are paid to scale from day one and in line with your responsibilities.
