Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking an experienced SEMH pastoral mentor (teaching assistant) for a secondary school-based job to start immediately. We are supporting a secondary school based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northeast (NE3 5HP) with a full time, job vacancy for a secondary school pastoral mentor (teaching assistant).

 

If you are an experienced pastoral mentor (teaching assistant) who has worked with pupils with SEMH who is available immediately and would like to discuss a new secondary school, based job opportunity in the Northeast, we would be keen to speak with you. We are a family run recruitment business specialising in Education. With over 15 years’ worth of experience supporting education settings and candidates across primary, secondary and SEND divisions.

 

This secondary school-based job is offered on a full-time basis however a more flexible working pattern can be discussed depending on your personal working requirements. We have a number of posts available as the SEMH provision is expanding across the trust. Ideally, you will be an experienced secondary mentor who has supported pupils with SEMH needs within either KS2 at primary level or KS3/KS4 at secondary level. The role will be long term, temporary to begin with however you may have the opportunity to apply on a permanent basis later in the academic year.

 

We gain official salary information from each setting to ensure you are paid to scale from day one and in line with your responsibilities. In order to be successfully shortlisted in any of your applications with us we will require the following:

 

A relevant UK based qualification.

Substantial experience working within an education setting.

All required documents for safer recruitment processing including but not limited to a valid right to work proof.

Exceptional references.

 

Once shortlisted, a one-to-one interview will be scheduled with your dedicated consultant to discuss your experience and personal requirements.
