Senior Architect Job Overview
- Acting as Principal Designer for a variety of projects including Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs) and non-HRBs
- Developing, submitting, and managing applications to the Building Safety Regulator (BSR), navigating Gateways 1, 2 and 3
- Providing expert consultancy on the functional application of regulations across complex upgrades, relocations and acquisitions
- Leading project design and technical phases, reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure compliance
- Coordinating with clients, contractors, and consultants to deliver projects successfully
- Supporting design and planning for specialist environments including manufacturing, commercial, and public sector projects
Senior Architect Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, Building Regulations and associated legislation
- Experience assisting clients with successful applications to the Building Safety Regulator
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Full driving licence
- Keen interest in the Building Safety Act
- Live within a commutable distance of Newcastle
