The CompanyOur client is a successful and expanding engineering business that is looking to recruit a Procurement Manager into their team as a result of sustained growth, diversification and innovation.The Procurement Manager will be based on site 5 days a week.The OpportunityThe Procurement Manager will be responsible for:
  • Managing Procurement strategy, leading a small team with responsibility for direct components, subcontract and indirects
  • Supplier relationship management/contract management
  • Managing obsolescence, re-sourcing, supporting bids and tenders, NPI
  • Collaborating closely with SLT, supporting Project/Design Engineering
  • Inventory management
About YouThe ideal Procurement Manager will have/be:
  • Proven track record of strategic directs’ procurement – PCBAs, subcontract electronics essential – ideally gained from within fast-paced manufacturing
  • Strong technical procurement skills essential
  • Driven, autonomous, dynamic, excellent negotiation and leadership skills
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills - able to communicate effectively/build relationships with multifunctional stakeholders 
  • Reliable, can-do attitude
  • Adaptable and hands-on, resilient, driven
  • Highly analytical, experience Microsoft ERP systems beneficial
