We are looking for aMechanical Managerwho wants to work in a diverse rolewhere no two days are the same.
As theMechanical Manager,you willprovide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.
TheMechanical Manager,will be responsible for:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the on-site engineering workforce.
- Ensure that all technical servicesprovides align with contractual obligations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review site technical documents utilising sound engineering concepts and technical expertise to validate compliance with contractual obligations.
- Analyse complex information, identify critical points and draft concise communication with a high level of technical surety that various stakeholders can digest.
- Develop, implement, and deliver technical improvement plans.
- Take personal responsibility and accountability for actions, constantly striving to improve and exceed expectations and ensuring safety and quality are never compromised.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations and commercial teams, to provide technical insights and support decision-making processes.
- Monitor and report on compliance performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
- Stay updated with industry trends and changes in legislation relating to healthcare complex FM delivery.
To be successful for this Mechanical Manager role you must have:
- Ideally qualified to HND/Degree level in a Building Services discipline.
- Demonstrable technical experience in complex healthcare PFI contracts.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering systems within healthcare buildings, e.g. medical gas, pressure system and ventilation systems.
- Thorough understanding of the Health Technical Memorandum and other standards applicable to designing, constructing, and maintaining healthcare facilities.
- Have strong commercial awareness and good industry knowledge.
- Ideally has previous experience acting as an Authorised Person within NHS guidance (HTM) related disciplines, including ventilation.
- Pressure systems, medical gases and FGAS.
