Job Description:

As Production Manager, you will take ownership of a key production area, driving performance across quality, cost, and delivery. You will lead a team, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards while embedding lean manufacturing principles. This is both a technical and managerial role where you will play a key part in shaping the future of production operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the production area with full cost-centre responsibility.

  • Setting and delivering against production KPIs.

  • Leading continuous improvement and lean transformation initiatives.

  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Driving workforce planning, training, and development.

  • Coordinating across functions to ensure smooth production flow.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in science, engineering, materials, or manufacturing (or equivalent experience).

  • Technical knowledge or an Engineering background is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS (IOSH Managing Safely, or willingness to complete).

  • Experience with lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Proven track record in leading teams and improvement workshops.

  • Familiarity with production planning and scheduling.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

  • Excellent leadership, organisational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Flexible, adaptable, and driven by continuous improvement.
