An Exciting Opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer with a background in Electrical Engineering or Equipment sales is available with a growing Tyneside engineering company.
EXCITING OPPORTUNITY
Working within an established and busy commercial team you will be responsible for selling specialist products and solutions to contractors and systems integrators in the Power & Utilities and other sectors across the UK & Ireland
You will be engaged in the following activities
- Building and managing customer relationships with existing accounts and identifying new opportunities for the company to be positioned to win
- Business Development.
- Technical sales of existing / new products and solution
- Promotion & presentations of company products, solutions and expertise.
- Tendering of technical and commercial proposals.
- Driving any necessary customer approvals and certifications required for new business.
- Pre-qualification for opportunities.
Although this role is mainly office based there will be regular travel in the UK & Ireland required for pursuing opportunities and attending meetings and occasional travel to Europe may also be required.
YOUR SKILLS
The ideal candidate will either have some previous experience selling Electrical Automation solutions or have a good technical preferably with an Application Engineering background in control and automation projects and have a strong desire to move into a sales role
An Electrical Engineering qualification would be a strong advantage as would the ability to identify and develop sales opportunities and to market technical solutions and services. Some experience in producing technical and commercial proposals within Power, Renewable Energy or Utilities would also be preferred
