Are you an experienced Logistics Coordinator currently looking for a new challenge with an established business? 

Reed Procurement and Supply Chain are delighted to be working alongside a large logistics organisation who are looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator on a full time, permanent contract.  

This role involves coordinating and arranging transportation of goods via all transport modes, dealing with customs and shipping documentation in line with client directives and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements, contributing to our commitment to quality and safety.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Facilitate the transportation of goods, including arranging transportation and orchestrating deliveries to meet customer demands.
  • Create and manage customs and shipping documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and clearance instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations for all clients.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure efficient movement of goods.
  • Manage clients' HMRC records where required.
  • Maintain knowledge of HMRC regulations, incoterms, and customs commodity codes.
  • Attend loadout meetings and advise on all aspects of logistics and customs matters.
  • Perform customs compliance checks on import and export entries and handle amendments with HMRC.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in logistics, importing, exporting, customs, or similar roles, preferably covering air, sea, and road shipments.
  • Strong customs experience and knowledge of HMRC regulations.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to react to operational demands.
  • High accuracy in checking and processing information with attention to detail.
