Lighting Consultant - Newcastle upon Tyne

About the Role

You'll work on a wide range of office-based lighting projects, combining technical expertise with creativity to deliver high-quality, well-considered designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage lighting projects from concept to completion

  • Carry out lighting calculations and modelling using specialist software

  • Produce detailed CAD drawings

  • Conduct lighting surveys and occasional site work

  • Work closely with clients and colleagues to develop innovative solutions



What You'll Need

Essential:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Degree or diploma in lighting

  • Experience with photography, surveys and site work



A Typical Day

  • Meeting with clients to understand their requirements

  • Creating lighting models and design concepts using advanced software

  • Visiting sites to complete surveys and gather information

  • Developing accurate CAD drawings

  • Managing multiple projects and ensuring deadlines are met
