Following the recent award of a major infrastructure programme in the North East, a leading cost consultancy are looking to secure the services of a Senior Quantity Surveyor, with experience of using the NEC contract, to join their team in Newcastle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of quantity surveying on the programme
- Using the NEC form of contract, specifically option A, to ensure project compliance
- Conducting cost control and budgeting for the infrastructure project
- Providing detailed financial reports and accurate cost forecasting
- Liaising with project stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression
- Ensuring effective contract administration and management
- Implementing risk management strategies to mitigate any potential financial risks
- Supporting project teams with commercial guidance and advice
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in quantity surveying within a major infrastructure market (rail, energy, oil & gas, defence etc)
- Proven experience with the NEC option A contract is essential
- Strong understanding of contract administration and management
- Excellent cost control and financial management skills
- Ability to produce detailed financial reports and cost forecasts
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant qualification
