About the Role:

You will join a thriving Mathematics department that values innovation, clarity in teaching, and strong classroom relationships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Maths pedagogy, excellent subject knowledge, and the enthusiasm to create engaging lessons tailored to all ability levels.

Key Responsibilities of the ECT Teacher Maths:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with national curriculum standards.
• Support pupils in developing problem-solving skills and mathematical confidence.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs across different key stages.
• Participate in school life, including staff meetings, training, and parent communication.
• Engage in mentoring and induction programmes as part of your ECT development.
• Participate in ECT induction programmes and departmental CPD
• Work collaboratively with staff and maintain regular communication with parents/carers.

Job Requirements of the ECT Teacher Maths:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS as part of the ECT programme.
• Prior experience in teaching or tutoring Mathematics, preferably within a school setting.
• A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• A strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and a passion for teaching, with a commitment to fostering academic excellence.
• Passion for Mathematics and a commitment to delivering outstanding education.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
