At Major Healthcare we are seeking, dedicated and compassionate children's support workers to join our team. You will play a vital role in being motivated to making a difference for our young people and supporting them to achieve their full potential.

We are looking for individuals who can support our young people with their mental health and behavioural needs whilst promoting independence and creating a caring and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing care and support plans to provide a tailored approach towards our young people
  • Assist with promoting independence, positive relationships and educational needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports
  • Address challenging behaviour appropriately with patience and effective strategies
  • Promote the welfare of the child whilst safeguarding them from harm and re-assuring the young person always has a secure environment
  • Transport the young person to appointments, family contact, education and activities
  • Work closely within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for our young people

What we're looking for:

  • 6-12 Months paid experience working with children and young people between the ages of 0-17 within the UK
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and young people (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards this
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • A proactive approach with strong communication skills and effective problem-solving skills
  • A full UK Driver's licence is preferred
  • An Enhanced DBS (child and adults) required, on the update service is preferred
  • Flexibility to work 12hrs days, nights and weekends
  • Reliable and flexible approach to work
