Salary: Up to £130,000

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne (5 days on site)

We’re an ambitious and fast-growing business at an exciting stage of our journey — newly formed, highly collaborative, and driven by a shared mission to deliver real impact. This is your chance to get in at the ground level and help define not just the tech, but the culture, values, and direction of a company with big goals and a flat hierarchy.

We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer who brings outstanding technical skill, curiosity, and a builder’s mindset. If you’re passionate about solving complex business problems, mentoring talented developers, and taking ownership from concept to delivery — we’d love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of robust, scalable solutions
  • Work closely with business users to deeply understand the problem space — not just the requirements
  • Collaborate across functions and with clients to co-create solutions that deliver measurable value
  • Challenge assumptions, drive innovation, and bring technical excellence to everything you do
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and help shape our technical direction
  • Empower and mentor a high-performing team of developers
What We’re Looking For
  • Recent hands-on experience in C#/.Net or similar object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, Python)
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and experience working with relational databases
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
  • Proven ability to own projects end-to-end and thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Passion for clean, maintainable code and modern software engineering practices
  • Clear and professional communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Curiosity, positivity, and a drive to keep learning
  • A 2:1 or above in Computer Science or related discipline — ideally from a Russell Group university
  • Financial Services experience is a plus, but not a must
Why Join Us?
  • Own your impact — you'll be trusted and empowered from the start
  • Define the culture — be part of shaping how we work and grow
  • Solve meaningful problems — work on real-world issues that matter to clients and industries
  • Work with exceptional people — we hire for talent, passion, and mindset
  • Learn constantly — from the team, the industry, and the challenges we tackle
  • Innovate freely — bring your ideas, challenge the status quo, and help us stay ahead

This is more than just a job — it’s a unique opportunity to be part of something early, exciting, and high-impact. If you're ready to lead, build, and grow with us, we’d love to talk.

Apply now and start shaping the future.
