Empowering Learning requires several Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a SEN school in the Northumberland area







Role Details:

  • Location: Northumberland area
  • Hours: 5 days a week, 8:00 AM - 16:00 PM
  • Start Date: ASAP with potential for temp to perm


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and care for children in the classroom.
  • Assist the lead teacher with the curriculum and activities.
  • Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of the children.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist with personal care
  • Experience of behaviours that challenge
  • Support students with PMLD, ASC and SEMH
  • Communicate with parents and provide updates on the child's progress.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive learning atmosphere.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience of supporting young children.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions.
  • Basic understanding of child development principles.
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
