Are you an Outstanding SEN Teaching assistant  ?

We are Recruiting for a number of motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants. AND We have Immediate interview available !!!

We are working to supply outstanding individuals to a busy and effective SEN department within a setting close to Newcastle City Centre. This setting is easy accessible by either car or public Transport 

You will be supporting young people aged from 13-19. You will work as part of a team delivering emotional, practical and academic support ensuring that each young person has a positive experience EVERY DAY .

As an effective SEN Teaching assistant ,You will accompany your cohort of learners in lessons and in down-time. You will be a constant trusted presence giving consistency and kindness. You will be in sessions with lots of other assistants so the ability to work well as a team and take direction is essential. 

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is over four days ( Days TBC) and hours are 8-3 or 8.30-4.30 depending on where you are assigned 

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is LONG-TERM , expected to last the full academic year for the right candidate .

We ask that you have :

  • UK Care and Education experience desirable but not essential 
  • SEN experience desired- especially in any of these areas - ASD, SEMH, ADHD, MLD, PMLD 
  • Manual handling experience or qualification
  • Personal care experience
  • A good level of Maths and English 
  • A kind and caring disposition with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge
  • A fully Checkable work history
  • Availability as above for at least 6 months
  • Fantastic rapport building abilities also able to calm stressful situations 
  • A real interest in giving young people with substantial barriers a great educational experience
