Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking an experienced Functional Skills teacher for a secondary school-based job to start either immediately or from May half term. We are supporting a secondary school based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northeast (NE3 5HP) with a full time, interim job vacancy for a Functional Skills teacher. If you are an experienced Functional Skills teacher who has worked with pupils with SEMH who is available either immediately or from May half term 2025 and would like to discuss a new secondary teaching job opportunity in the Northeast, we would be keen to speak with you. This secondary school-based teaching job is offered on a full-time basis however a more flexible working pattern can be discussed depending on your personal working requirements. We have a number of posts available as the SEMH provision is expanding across the trust. Ideally, you will be an experienced secondary Functional Skills specialist who has planned and delivered the Maths and English curriculum. You will be responsible for a group of up to 8 students. We are fully committed to safeguarding all children within our schools. In order to be successfully shortlisted in any of your applications with us we will require the following: A relevant UK based qualification.

Substantial experience working within an education setting.
All required documents for safer recruitment processing including but not limited to a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS.
Exceptional references.

Salary: £162.30 to £251.71 per day
