My client is an established privately-owned MEP services provider who have been in business for over 23 years and they are searching for a Mechanical Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team in the North East.
They place emphasis on environmentally efficient technology and specialise in pre-fabrication, new installation and refurbishment, providing market leading services across various sectors including Commercial, Education, Leisure, Accommodation, Residential, MOD/MOJ, Industrial, Retail and Health. They pride themselves on delivering high quality projects for an array of clients, while maintaining a strong family feel culture with opportunities for each person to thrive and to progress.
For this position, they are open to speaking to candidates at different levels. Those who are mechanically qualified and are looking to make a step into estimating, those who have pricing experience and are eager to progress and also experienced estimators to join the team and hit the ground running! You will work closely with Senior Estimators with the opportunity to progress to a Senior level and then Pre-Construction Manager level, in time.
Responsibilities:
- To prepare full tenders and take responsibility for design and build projects and pre-designed projects
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of tender / projects
- To provide tender breakdown in logical format
- To clarify your tender comprehensively
- To identify and inform risks whilst carrying out tender
- To identify and raise technical queries
- Complete quotation analysis on all projects
- Ability to provide accurate budget costs
- Overall understanding & use of Estimation & Microsoft software
- Meet tender deadlines
- To produce tender submission documents
- Meeting client / contract requirement deadlines
