Gecko Travel Recruitmentare delighted to be working with this Specialist Tour Operator who are looking for a Travel Consultant to join their team on a permanent basis.
AsTravel Consultantyou will be dedicated to delivering unforgettable adventure holiday experiences for both new and returning customers. We're seeking someone with a passion for travel and/or cycling, alongside strong customer service and sales skills. No prior travel industry experience is required as full training will be provided.
The role:
- Handling sales enquiries and customer queries via phone, email, and live chat
- Managing and processing bookings, including reservations for unconfirmed trips
- Proactively following up on sales prospects and opportunities
- Finalising trip arrangements with customers, partners, guides, and suppliers
- Processing customer balances and payments
You will have:
- A passion for travel or adventure holidays
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Strong IT literacy and ability to use booking/sales systems
- Proven background in sales and/or customer service
- High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional approach
- Previous travel industry experience (advantageous but not essential)

- Fully office-based with some flexibility for hybrid working after induction

- Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:30
