Gecko Travel Recruitmentare delighted to be working with this Specialist Tour Operator who are looking for a Travel Consultant to join their team on a permanent basis.

AsTravel Consultantyou will be dedicated to delivering unforgettable adventure holiday experiences for both new and returning customers. We're seeking someone with a passion for travel and/or cycling, alongside strong customer service and sales skills. No prior travel industry experience is required as full training will be provided.

The role:

  • Handling sales enquiries and customer queries via phone, email, and live chat
  • Managing and processing bookings, including reservations for unconfirmed trips
  • Proactively following up on sales prospects and opportunities
  • Finalising trip arrangements with customers, partners, guides, and suppliers
  • Processing customer balances and payments

You will have:

  • A passion for travel or adventure holidays
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong IT literacy and ability to use booking/sales systems
  • Proven background in sales and/or customer service
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional approach
  • Previous travel industry experience (advantageous but not essential)
