Are you an experienced Sales Manager keen to support solutions within the manufacturing sector? If so, the following permanent role could be for you.

My client is a leading manufacturer of custom-made steel door solutions in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area. They are looking for a Regional Sales Manager providing support to both new and existing customers.

This exciting role encompasses both leadership and operational responsibilities across a defined geographic area. The RSM will ensure alignment with company goals by implementing sales strategies, including interior, exterior, commercial, and specialty doo

You will be responsible for:

  • Communicating with existing customers to ensure opportunities to quote and secure contracts
  • Using the Sales Database to track and contact existing and potential customers
  • Using other resources i.e. internet, trade journals etc with a view to potential future business
  • Locating and targeting new markets for our products
  • Planning and prioritising activities and customer / prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales
  • Planning and managing agreed territory according to an agreed market development strategy
  • Managing product pricing and margins according to agreed aims
  • Assisting in preparing customer estimates for work and supporting the internal sales team as needed to generate customer quotes
  • Using customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and updating relevant information held in these systems
  • Responding to and following up Sales enquiries using appropriate method
  • Monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information

You will have:

  • 3+ years experience in a similar sales role
  • Familiarity with door manufacturing and hardware (highly desirable)
  • Familiarity with modern manufacturing techniques
  • A good standard of Maths and English
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion
  • Resilience and the ability to maintain control with a large workload
  • Professional demeanour
