Meridian Business Support is recruiting for highly experienced Cable Harness andPCB Assembly Operative'sfor one of our clients based in Chesterton, Stoke on Trent.
Working as a Cable Harness andPCB Assembly Operative within theProduction/Manufacturing department you will be responsible for the build of specialiseditems as per the customer requirements, working with specifically bespoke wire & cable harness assemblies,
electro mechanical products, harsh environment fibre optic assemblies and supportive products for the defence, aerospace, security, marine, rail, motor sport/niche automotive markets.
The ideal candidate will be able to Manufacture and build items in compliance with IPC/WHMA-620 requirements, via in-house production guide (traveller).
To be able to read customer schematic diagrams and drawings
Skills and experience required:
IPC620 Class 3 experience preferred but relevant experience will be considered
  • Soldering (large and small form wires and contacts)
  • Cable preparation/handling/laying
  • Application and handling of heat shrink products, adhesives and potting
  • Crimping (hand and machine) and loading of contacts
  • Familiar with cable harness drawings and documentation and processes
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and organisation skills
The hours of work are:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm/5.30pm (early finish on a Friday)
Rate of pay - Between £12.21 - £14.00, dependant on experience.
Temp to Perm Opportunity.
