Contek Recruitment are currently working with a well-known, established precision engineering company based nearNewcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. Due to company performance and growth, they are now looking for 5-axis Machinistto join their team on a night shift, on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

You will work as part of a small experienced and disciplined team on the manufacture of high precision parts for F1, aerospace and defence applications. Youwill be a time served engineer with recognised qualifications. You will be capable of programming, setting and operating Mazak and Matsuura machines. Some experience with CADCAM is an advantage.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a 5-axis Machinist.
  • Proficiency with some kind of offline programming CAD/CAM system.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail to ensure precision in every machining task.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with quality control measures and safety protocols in machining operations.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
