The Role
Looking for someone to lead by example in ensuring that Health and Safety and someone who can engage others to always think and behave safely.The successful candidate will lead the shift in providing support and optimising engineering resources in the maintenance of capital equipment, buildings, and utility services to meet the needs of the business and to generate continuous improvements in the cost and quality of engineering performance.
Liaising with other departments to ensure that shift engineering workload is prioritised correctly to meet our customer requirements.
Carrying out breakdown repairs as required and document Root Cause to enable Continuous Improvement.
Completing breakdown reports and shift logs including any issues arising on shift which may have or have impacted the performance of the site and or engineering department.
Escalating breakdowns in line with the escalation procedure.
Carrying out all planned maintenance work as instructed.
Managing contractors as required, including inductions, permit issuing and monitoring.
Attending meetings as required.
Assisting with annual overhaul planning for each plant.
Ensuring workshop is maintained to the correct standard and department check sheets and audits are completed.
Completing random job audits, toolbox audits and locker audits.
Completing or assisting with other work relating to engineering shift such as return to works, accident investigations etc
