Primary Teacher - Year 3/4 (Maternity Cover)

Newcastle-under-Lyme | Start February | Up to 12 Months

Academics are working with a friendly and welcoming primary school in Newcastle-under-Lyme who are seeking a caring and committed Primary Teacher to cover thier Yr3/4 class on a maternity cover basis. This role will begin in February and is expected to continue for up to 12 months.

You will take responsibility for a large, mixed Year 3/4 class, working alongside a supportive staff team who are passionate about providing a nurturing, positive learning environment where every child can thrive.

About the Role

  • Teaching a mixed Year 3/4 class with full classroom responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons across Key Stage 2
  • Establishing a calm, positive classroom with clear expectations and strong routines
  • Supporting pupils' academic progress as well as their confidence and wellbeing
  • Working closely with colleagues, teaching assistants and school leaders

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2
  • Demonstrates strong, consistent behaviour management
  • Is kind, patient and enthusiastic about teaching and learning
  • Builds positive relationships with children, staff and families
