Project Manager | Office-Based (Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire) + UK Site Travel | From £40K + Annual Bonus + 25 Days Holiday + Pension

Broxap is a long-established, family-owned engineering business with a rich history dating back to 1946.

Based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, we are market leaders in the design and manufacture of street furniture, shelters, canopies, and playground equipment. As our reputation and project portfolio continue to grow, we're looking for a proactive and driven Project Manager to join our dedicated Project Delivery team.

This is a pivotal, hands-on role overseeing the successful delivery of specialist subcontract packages – from design to installation – and working with some of the UK's most recognisable public and private sector clients. You’ll help shape projects that are truly seen and used by the public, leaving your mark across the UK.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

  • Managing contracts from initial planning through to final handover – on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Overseeing multiple live projects simultaneously with strong control over quality, programme, and commercial outcomes.
  • Working closely with internal departments – including design, production, and installation – to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Acting as a key liaison with clients, managing expectations and building long-term relationships.
  • Preparing and reviewing site-specific method statements and risk assessments.
  • Ensuring full compliance with all Health & Safety and contractual obligations.
  • Identifying opportunities for repeat business and developing new client relationships.

What You’ll Need:

  • Previous experience in a similar Contracts or Project Management role within construction, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills – with the ability to manage multiple projects at pace.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident engaging with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting technical design drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project); experience with CRM or MRP systems is a bonus.
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety in a construction or manufacturing setting.
  • A full UK driving licence – with flexibility to travel to sites nationwide as required.

Bonus points for:

  • SMSTS, CSCS or other industry qualifications (not essential – training can be provided).
  • A commercially-minded approach and a natural ability to solve problems under pressure.
