A well-established UK manufacturer and supplier of specialist building boards, facades, and through-wall solutions is seeking an experienced Alphacam Programmer to join their Production Department.

The Alphacam Programmer will be responsible for developing CNC programs from architectural and engineering drawings, supporting machine setup and operation, and ensuring all work meets strict quality and performance standards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineers and production teams to optimise machining processes and deliver consistent, accurate results.

Benefits:

  • Hours: 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday (45 minute break - 38.75hrs per week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write CNC programs from architectural and engineering drawings
  • Set up and operate CNC machinery
  • Perform precision quality checks using tools such as callipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators
  • Interpret and apply GD&T requirements
  • Make technical decisions on machining processes and design-related requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and craftsmen to improve machining efficiency
  • Ensure all work complies with quality policies, specifications, and procedures

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar CNC role
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in wood or composite cutting
  • Strong knowledge of Alphacam or comparable CAM software
  • Proficiency in operating CNC machines and programming software
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and edit FANUC control systems
  • Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
  • Confident use of fixtures, tooling, and calibration equipment
  • Ability to perform tooling offsets and tooling changes
  • Good knowledge of machining techniques and industry best practices
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently
