Humanities (Geography & History) Teacher

In the heart of Newham, a 'Good' Secondary School are on the hunt for a Humanities (Geography & History) Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a permanent, and full-time contract, directly employed via the school.

The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Humanities (Geography & History) Teacher who is keen to add value to an expanding Humanities (Geography & History) department. The school is renowned for their supportive SLT, and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.

The school are well invested into the Education sector setting new teaching practices, as well as training their own and new staff, alongside a 2 week October Half Term, and receiving x2 Secondary School of The Year Nominations. It's an exciting time at the school!

Experienced Teachers of Humanities (Geography & History) can take on a TLR such as KS3 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibility, 2iC, HOD and more. Early Career Teacher of Humanities (Geography & History) (ECT) will be enrolled onto the schools very own bespoke ECT induction, as well as work alongside a range of young & experienced teachers.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
  • Strong academics across the board - Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
  • Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level
  • You must be able to work as part of a large team of Teachers
  • Must be willing to listen to feedback
