Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Newham, Plaistow
Salary Range: £95 - £105 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Long-term, Full-time
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

GSL Education are delighted to offer an opportunity for a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision class in a fantastic school in Newham, Plaistow.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
- Provide 1:1 and group support to students with diverse SEN needs.
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
- Work alongside teachers and SEN specialists to deliver tailored learning activities.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
- Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
- Previous experience in SEN or behavioural support.
- Ability to support children with high-level needs.
- Resilient, patient, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Passion for helping students overcome challenges and succeed.
- A current CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
