Your new company
Our client is a multinational world leader in manufacturing bespoke injection moulded products used in chemical laundry & hygiene systems. Due to an internal promotion, they are looking to recruit an experienced mechanically biased maintenance fitter.
Your new role
Based at their state-of-the-art manufacturing centre in Newhaven, you will be responsible for the following
Provide rapid technical assistance in the resolution of equipment and plant malfunctions, carry out fault-finding repairs (mechanical, electrical) and repair as necessary. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes.Develop and refine local operating procedures to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.Develop and implement planned maintenance of jigs, fixtures, plant and other equipment to minimise efficiency losses to production.Manage stocks of supplies and equipment so that repairs can be achieved without delay.Identify and source components required for the assembly of production units.Implementing any changes into production making sure that all processes are followed

You'll play a key role in working with the production team, driving changes that enhance productivity whilst providing technical support & guidance to the production staff.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be qualified to C&G level and have experience of fault-finding and repair of mechanical, pneumatic systems and electrical control systems.
