Reed Practice have a new opening for a Management Accountant with a flair for Cloud Accounting to join one of our clients, a rapidly evolving and expanding national chartered firm, located on the borders of Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. 

This is a great opportunity to join a firm who are a rising star in the accounting field who have realistic growth plans to double in size; the benefits – both financial and professional – are plentiful to the successful applicant.

Working in an expanding team your role is vital to the overall service the firm offers, complimenting the audit, accounts and tax teams.

Your tasks will include :

  • Preparing periodic management accounts.
  • Bookkeeping of client records as part of the management accounts.
  • Creating and submitting VAT returns.

You will provide clients with the reassurance and assistance they expect of a high calibre firm including undertaking a desktop review of client records, offering your professional advice, answer related queries, and supporting clients with general accounting and cloud software matters.

The Cloud Accounting aspect of the role will include:

  • Preparing system reviews and proposals for consultancy services
  • Advising and improving efficiencies through the best use of cloud and associated technologies.
  • On-boarding clients to Xero/ Quickbooks Online/ Sage Accounting
  • Training clients on cloud software

This post will be predominantly based in the office with occasional visits to clients’ premises.

To express your interest in this role you will need to be very client focused with a positive demeanour and commercial mindset either with the above experience or at least the accounting experience and a strong desire to work in a cloud, outsourcing role – for the right person our client is flexible to shape the job around you!

You will preferably have at least Level 3 AAT, and strongly preferred is experience gained in practice.
