Our client is a Top 30 M&E contractor who are looking to add an Electrical Project Manager to the team for a custodial project in Suffolk.
Established for over 25 years, they are a privately owned Mechanical & Electrical Building Services contractor providing services across Design & Build, full M&E services, HVAC, IT infrastructures, CCTV, security, access control and fire alarms. They pride themselves on their diverse range of clients working across a wide portfolio of projects which include commercial, education, residential/super-prime residential, leisure, healthcare, MOJ and healthcare ranging in value up to 20m.
The project involves the refurbishment of existing prison buildings, along with the addition of new houseblocks, a healthcare facility, multipurpose workshops & teaching facilities, gym and additional catering/kitchen spaces. The project will run for 2 years with a start date from June, however upon completion you will be moved onto a new project, providing longevity with the company.
The Electrical Project Manager duties include:
- Demonstrate successful delivery of electrical projects ideally up to 6m
- Be responsible for designing the programme and delivering it in a timely manner
- Procurement & labour forecasting
- Manage the finances and variation accounts, health and safety as well as providing a snag free delivery
- Be client facing and as such be comfortable with client liaison/being the main point of contact
- Ensure successful handover with final accounts and that all O&Ms are completed
- Demonstrate a proven track record in managing sub-contractors and their delivery
The client is keeping an open mind around both perm candidates on salaries (75-80k) and freelance candidates on day rates (350 - 380/day CIS). Please note that this position is only open to candidates with UK experience within building services/M&E and ideally on custodial/MOJ projects. Although consideration will be given to those with experience on similar scale projects across MOD.
