We are supporting a well-established manufacturer in their search for a Junior Project Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in a technical, customer-facing environment.As Junior Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager to support product specifications, artwork approvals, and packaging design. You will be involved in multiple commercial projects, ensuring accurate documentation, strong communication, and high-quality standards throughout.This role would suit someone with excellent attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a desire to learn within a structured engineering environment.Core duties include:
  • Generating and maintaining top-level product supply specifications
  • Managing document updates, releases, and change notifications
  • Supporting customer and supplier interactions for project specification sign-off
  • Assisting with packaging design, artwork tasks, and project coordination
  • Helping to manage a customer sample library
  • Ensuring reports and actions are completed and escalated as needed
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of project processes and document standardisation
About you:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive and self-motivated attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Comfortable switching between multiple projects and priorities
  • Keen to follow and learn company standards and procedures
  • Able to work effectively with both internal teams and external customers/suppliers
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Experience with SolidWorks CAD is advantageous
  • Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Adobe PDF/Illustrator is a plus
