Our client is a national firm, a top UK practice, headquartered in Suffolk and looking to add to their successful and thriving Business Services team.

The post of Assistant Manager will provide a career accountant with the perfect opportunity with which to grow – professionally and personally. 

Working with a wide range of businesses, the Business Service team are seen as a key partner to their clients’ growth, the advice and financial knowledge imparted are fundamental to the companies’ development.

The role of Assistant Manager will work alongside other high calibre accounting staff, providing a combination of services which cover bookkeeping, management accounts, year-end accounts preparation, personal & corporate tax, and other accounting matters.

As Assistant Manager you will have the opportunity to impart your knowledge to trainees, assisting with their development through reviewing their work and feeding back both positive and negative points.

For this Assistant Manager level role you will need to –

  • Have completed all your  ICAEW/ACCA exams successfully and looking for a step up
  • A proven track record working in an accounting firm to UK regulations specifically –
    • Accounts preparation work (including management accounts),
    • Tax returns for both unincorporated and corporate clients,
    • Have experience of preparing personal and corporate tax, and VAT returns
    • Undertaken some bookkeeping work.

Other qualities the role requires is concise and clear communication, excellent organisation skills, able to maintain confidentiality, keen eye for detail, able to work to deadlines both independently and as a team.
